Start on 2008 SEAMEO Regional Open Learning Centre (SEAMOLEC) will be leading the effort of developing the SEA EduNet, along with other SEAMEO Centers and interested institutions in the region. The SEA EduNet will make use of the available and further enhanced technology of SEAMOLEC, and the infrastructure available across the region.
The SEA EduNet, is a network, a repository and portal tapping the expectedly vast rich learning object materials from Southeast Asian teachers, for Southeast Asian teachers, and by Southeast Asian teachers, and an open and distance learning mechanism encompassing ODL frames and practices in the Southeast Asian region.
The main objective of SEA EduNet as an educational network is to establish network among education institutions, educators, learners, and education community in Southeast Asian countries under the auspices of SEAMEO seeedu_homepage The objective of the SEA EduNet as open educational repository is to collect open educational resources in Southeast Asian countries for the purpose of reusability among Southeast Asian Educators.
